Six panels. Panel 1: Peering through a window of a door marked “Interview Room 4”. A fat man is standing in front of a table with a recorder on it. A man in hooded sweatshirt is seated facing him. The fat man says, “For the tape, I am Detective Harlowe Doyle interviewing Frank Pope in connection to the cold case murder of Elliott Bard.” Panel 2: The fat cop aggressively leans toward the man. The man scoots bback in his chair, startled. “Where were you on the night of March 24, 2004?” Panel 3: Frank pope puts his hands up in alarm. “How am I supposed to remember, that was 20 years ago!” Panel 4: Frank pope opens his backpack, holds up a book. “Oh! I just happen to have my day planner from that time.” Panel 5: Close up on the day planner opened to March 24 and March 25, 2004. Frank Pope’s finger points at the entry for the evening of March 24, which says “Killing Elliott Bard” with a “NOT” inserted next to it in red. Above that entry, you can see “Knife sharpening” obscured. Morning of March 25 - “Concrete delivery. Hardware store - trash bags, duct tape. Noon - boat rental @ Deep Water Marina. Evening - Celebratory drinks @ The Getaway”. Panel 6: Harlowe Doyle stands with arms crossed, angry. Thought bubble: “Damn. He’s got an airtight alibi.
